Family Learning Sessions take place on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning in the Family Room (or hall) from 9-11am.  The idea of these sessions is to keep parents informed and up-to-date about the school curriculum and teaching methods, as well as giving information on how they can help their children with learning at home.

This year we have had Family Learning on topics such as: all areas of EYFS development; Reading Together; KS1 and KS2 Maths Games; Family First Aid; Feed your Family for a Fiver; Forest School; Arts and Crafts; Route to Resilience; and so on.

Supporting Your Child Read at Home

What parents said about previous sessions:

The most important thing that I will take away today is:

… how to support my child in reading at home.

… the importance of encouragement!

…the importance of being patient at all times.

Very helpful session for me and my son. We will now try and play more games at home.

Everything was well presented, a lot of valuable/helpful games were given to help.

I think it is wonderful idea to be teaching the children about mental health, positive thinking and focusing on failure as a learning curve.

Fun and educational. Very friendly atmosphere.
